Do you use social media to promote your forum?

If so, how do you promote it, and on which social media platform?

Does it bring in a lot of new members?

I’ve always struggled with social media when it comes to promoting my forum. My current forum is more ForumSpark oriented, but I’ve used Facebook/Twitter for GFX Street, Otaku Paradise, and JustGFX. Those worked sometimes, but deviantart was reliable for GFX Street and JustGFX.

I tried once to promote on social media but found that people prefer to stay on social media and not venture off those sites. Now, with that said, it does give you more of an online presence so that when someone searches your site’s name, there are more things that will pop up for it that’s related. That can be a good thing. I respect sites that put a lot of effort into promoting their sites and it’s good to see that they are working hard.
