How to change home link in breadcrumbs?

As I’m writing above in the breadcrumbs it shows “Home > Service > Support > Create Topic”

How do you change home to point elsewhere? I changed the home page to a landing page and now when you click on that home link it goes to the landing page rather than the home page of the forum.

You can’t really change that. “Home” in the breadcrumbs points to the main URL of your site.

Since you’ve made the landing page your site’s homepage, that is now what “Home” represents, so clicking it will correctly take you back to the landing page.

The forum index is no longer your homepage, it’s simply another section of the site. Changing the breadcrumb Home link to point to the forum index would therefore be a bit misleading, since that isn’t actually the home URL anymore.

I understand why that is but I think it should be able to be changed if your home page is not part of the forum anymore. It’s meant for forum navigation, to show you the hierarchy of where you are in the forum. The top board menu is where you can have your dedicated homepage link and community links to prevent confusion.

How does Postloop do it? Their home page is https://postloop.net/ but on the breadcrumb it points to their forum homepage which is https://forums.postloop.net/. In the end it isn’t a big deal as I pointed to making the top menu have both but I think it would be nice to change it.

I’m going to assume postloop.net is not a part of Forum Spark.

The custom domain that the postloop support forum is using is a subdomain pointed to the Forum Spark installation.

Probably more custom work than anything else.

That’s my guess. I could be wrong.

Shawn is correct. Postloop isn’t just a homepage, there is a whole application behind it with a dashboard and has over 50 different pages. Postloop simply wouldn’t be possible on ForumSpark.

Page Studio is meant for a simple landing page, where you add blocks and content from the forum. You can style is quite extensively using custom CSS, but in the end, is still quite limited to what it can offer. There is always room for improvement though.
